Saints & Sinners

In the heart of the Hamburg kiez, only a few steps from the Reeperbahn, you will find a place that brings a smile to both burger lovers and vegans: the Saints & Sinners St. Pauli.

What you are served here is not just any old food, but rather lovingly prepared home-made food. Even the burger buns are from the restaurant’s own stove. All vegan dishes (for example "Pulled Saitan" or the "Cabbage Burger") are prepared separately and at a suitable distance to all meat dishes. Guests quickly learn to appreciate the quality on their plate. The burgers and sandwiches abound with opulence.

Personally, I would recommend the “Hot Beef Burger” to all burger fans – with additional roast beef and spicy gravy! The side dishes are really delicious, and there are no half measures when it comes to dessert. You might just find two huge, freshly-baked brownies on your plate, which you struggle to finish. In this kiez restaurant, there is hardly anything missing, except perhaps a drop of craft beer, which is somehow missing from the drinks menu. A tiny flaw, however, which you can easily put up with.

The service staff at Saints & Sinners is, just like the food, are in class of their own and so friendly that you feel at home there immediately. The atmosphere between red-brick walls and dark ornament wallpaper on the one hand, and a bright interior on the other, is very cosy. And if you’d like to spend more time here when you’ve finished your meal, you can go to the bar for a nightcap, from where you can peek into the kitchen.

Even if you might think that the neighbourhood is full of night owls – the Saints & Sinners is full to the brink as early as 6 pm. It is therefore essential to make a reservation. And for all those who are assailed by their hunger even earlier in the day, the restaurant also serves lunch on weekdays. Also good to know: unfortunately, card payment isn’t possible, so you should make sure to bring cash. You can also take a look at the menu on the Saints & Sinners website to whet your appetite.
