Important information about the coronavirus

Since the end of last year, the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) has been the focus of worldwide health research and media interest. Authorities, hospitals and doctors have joined forces in Hamburg to form a so-called task force in order to be able to react quickly. There are also plans on how to deal with suspected cases. Anyone who is concerned about whether he or she might be affected is asked to first call the emergency medical service in Hamburg at 116117.

Free rebooking option for trips up to 7 days before departure

For all our customers who do not want to start their journey due to the corona virus, we offer the possibility to rebook their journey free of charge for all journeys until 30 April 2020, if required, up to 7 days before the planned arrival in exchange for a voucher. If you arrive within the next 7 days your cases will be checked individually.
For events whose realization is prohibited by the authorities, we also offer the rebooking at shorter notice than up to 7 days before the planned arrival, as long as it was purchased together with a hotel stay with us.
Cancellation of events and closure of public facilities

For Hamburg, public and non-public events are initially prohibited until 30 April 2020, regardless of the number of participants. Further information and regulations can be found here (in German only). The decree comes into force on 16 March 2020. This applies in particular to the following facilities: theatres, cinemas, concert halls and event locations, museums, exhibition halls, district cultural centres, planetariums, zoological exhibitions in closed rooms, offers in adult education centres, public libraries, offers in music schools, offers in private educational institutions, swimming pools including so-called fun baths, saunas and steam baths, fitness and sports studios, community centres and offers of open child and youth work, senior citizens' meeting places, clubs, discotheques, music clubs (including bars without dance offerings with limited space), trade fairs, exhibitions, special markets and fairs, public festivals, amusement arcades, casinos, betting shops and similar businesses.
The closure of the retail trade came into force as a further complementary measure. The following areas are excluded from the measure: Food, weekly markets, pick-up and delivery services, beverage markets, pharmacies, medical supply stores, drugstores, petrol stations, banks and savings banks, post offices, hairdressers, dry cleaners, laundries, newspaper sales, DIY, horticultural and pet supplies markets and wholesale. The ban on Sunday sales has been lifted for these sectors until further notice.

Limited bookability of musicals & shows

All Stage Productions will cease operations for shows from 13.03.2020 to 30.04.2020 and will comply with the requirements of the authorities of the federal state of Hamburg. For the mentioned performance period this concerns the following productions.

- Cirque du Soleil PARAMOUR
- TINA - The Tina Turner Musical
- PRETTY WOMEN - The Musical

The German premiere and all performances of Harry Potter and the Enchanted Child will be postponed until October 2020. All tickets already purchased for performances up to and including 30 September 2020 will remain valid and can be exchanged for a performance date from October 2020. Affected customers will be contacted directly by the organising company.
