Die Lage des Hotels ist top für kulturell interessierte Touristen/Gäste in Hamburg. Das Ohnsorg-Theater liegt gegenüber, das Deutsche Schauspielhaus nebenan, Kunsthalle und Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe sind in jeweils unter fünf Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit Balkon und die Aussicht auf die Hamburger Skyline war sehr schön!

Negative:
Eigentlich nichts, außer der Hellhörigkeit, die bekanntermaßen vielen Hotels eigen ist. Früh hab ich den Wecker meines Nachbarn gehört und da mein Zimmer vis à vis zum Fahrstuhl lag auch früh die Gäste, die zum Frühstück gegangen sind. Nicht weiter tragisch für mich, aber vielleicht störend für andere Gäste.

Frühstücksraum ohne Abluft (oder war ohne Funktion) daher eine sehr schlechte Luft. Bei ca. 25 Personen zur gleichen Zeit, mit ihren unterschiedlichen Körperausdünstungen, war das Frühstück eine Zumutung. Als Fahrradtouristen angemeldet, aber keine Garage oder eine andere Unterstellmöglichkeit vorhanden.

Einzelzimmer extrem klein, die Tür zum Flur war rein optisch, man hörte jedes Wort von dort. Das Bad war so klein, dass man sich nur mit einer eleganten Drehung zwischen Waschbecken und Toilette setzen konnte. In der Nacht ca. 0.30 stand man erst mal in Käte und Regen vor der Tür, bis der Nachtpförtner kam , kein Wort der Entschuldigung.

Ca 3 Stunden nach der Buchung mußte ich diese stornieren, was nur mit Kosten möglich war, und zwar dem vollen Zimmerpreis. Das nenne ich eine schamlose Abzocke. Vor dieser Hotelkette kann ich nur warnen.

Gepäckaufbewahrung sollte besser sein. Hier kann man zwar sein Gepäck abstellen und aufbewahren lassen, der Raum kann aber jederzeit von allen Hotelgästen und vermutlich auch anderen betreten werden und das Gepäck könnte nach Belieben ausgeräumt werden - ist zum Glück nicht passiert - würde ich aber keinen Pfifferling drauf wetten, das geht auch in billigeren Hotels besser

Multi lingual staff who really worked hard to make my party feel welcome. When I asked if I could get my return flight boarding cards printed the staff at the Continental and nearby Novum worked very hard to help me..a very courteous and generous gesture. I have been coming to Hamburg and the Continental in particular for nearly thirty years, and I will certainly be coming for many more.

Frühstück gibt es erst ab 6:30. Meiner Meinung nach zu spät für ein Hotel , welches in direkter Nähe zum Bahnhof liegt. Ich habe Frühstück gebucht und konnte es nicht in Anspruch nehmen, da es erst ab 6:30 Frühstück gibt.

Beste Ausgangslage fuer eine Stadtreise. Fuer einen Aufenthalt von kurzer Dauer nur zu empfehlen. Ich hatte ein Zimmer im 5.Stock und somit eine weite Aussicht..

Leider hatte ich ein Zimmer zum Hinterhof mit einer Baustelle. Somit war es genauso laut wie auf der Vorderseite zum Bahnhof hin.

I have stayed at this hotel on and off for over twenty five years, it has been a favourite of myself and other family members, always friendly staff, great city centre location.

Negative:
Recently they have reduced some room sizes to get more rooms on each floor, so instead of six rooms there are now ten per floor, so you can imagine the queues for breakfast..as this room is still the original size.

Das Zimmer lag in Richtung Innenhof zum Schauspielhaus, es liefen die ganze Zeit die Lüfter der Klimaanlagen bzw. Entlüftungen, so daß man nur bei geschlossenem Fenster schlafen konnte. Es war ein ständiges gleichmäßiges Schnurren, kein Straßenlärm.
