Travelling by bus

Low-floor buses with ramps and a kneeling function operate on the vast majority of Hamburg transport association’s (HVV) central Hamburg AB area. The kneeling i.e. tilting function makes it easier for passengers who use walking frames or wheelchairs to enter buses.

HVV’s personal schedule feature is also very practical: https://geofox.hvv.de/jsf/home.seam

It enables you to enter your departure and destination and the level of mobility as well as many other specific criteria such as the “avoid changing” command. A comprehensive information pack is available on this topic to help get your discovery tour of Hamburg off to a stress-free start!
