Jenisch Haus

Jenisch House

Located in one of the most beautiful landscaped parks on the shores of the Elbe River, the ground and upper floors present a sequence of rooms furnished and decorated in the style of the Biedermeier period, during which the house was built.

The former country estate and park villa of Hamburg Senator Martin Johann von Jenisch, Jr, was built in 1831-1834 according to plans by F G Forsmann and K F Schinkel.

Special exhibitions take place on the second floor.
