From the town hall to Elbphilharmonie (language german)

Tales of proud merchants and tragic calamities: this walking tour from the town hall to the warehouse district and HafenCity features narrow alleyways and large merchants houses, canals and warehouses, and covers everything from cholera to the great fire of 1842. The sightseeing walk gives an insight into how Hamburg became a world-famous port and encourages visitors to continue exploring by themselves.
