8. Which zones are covered by the Hamburg CARD?

The Hamburg CARD is valid for all means of transport of the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund (HVV). It is valid as a ticket (except in 1st class) for U/S lines, buses, MetroBus, Schnell/EilBus, Nachtbuses and harbour ferry. The area of coverage differs between the "Hamburg CARD" and the "Hamburg CARD plus Region":
The Hamburg CARD is valid in the Greater Hamburg Area of the Hamburg Transport Association, which comprises nearly all of the relevant tourist destinations including connections to the airport. The Hamburg CARD plus Region is valid in the total HVV network. This also includes regional destinations such as Lüneburg and Stade in Lower Saxony or Ratzeburg, Mölln and Bad Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein. Here you will find detailed information on the Greater Hamburg Area Transport Association (HVV) and the entire HVV network

As a rule, children under the age of 6 travel free of charge. Yet in the case of single tickets, children are automatically included! The single tickets are always valid for individual persons and up to 3 children under the age of 15. A single ticket can therefore be used for a max. of 4 persons - in buses and trains of the HVV as well as with our Hamburg CARD partners.
